Memorial Day is an opportunity for us to acknowledge and reflect on the sacrifices that have been made to protect the freedoms that we hold dear. We offer our deepest gratitude to those that continue to defend or have defended this great nation. Some gave all and paid the ultimate cost to defend our freedoms. We honor the sacrifice of our fallen heroes as well as the families that they left behind. As you gather with friends and family this long weekend to enjoy our nation’s freedoms, I encourage you to give thanks, reach out to veterans, talk with your children about the meaning of Memorial Day, or find some other way to express your gratitude in a meaningful way.
